Tracks made for the ravers who arrive early and stay late, for those who burn the candle at both ends.
Fine Touch’s debut on Money Cat Records comes in the form of 4 simmering tracks that stitches together raw materials from Chicago, Paris by-way of Africa, and Philly. Penthouse Edits Vol. 2 captures these feverish sounds in the dial of percussive, soul drenched grooves aimed at the listener and dancer alike.
Transparent vinyl.Heavy acid bangers. The story continues for Planet Rhythm's 303 series.
When Smallpeople went touring Australia for the third time in 2016, we played a gig in Brisbane and had an amazing time hanging with James Hilan, a young gun from the local scene- a heavy vinyl collector and bad-ass DJ. He took us to the Wheel of Brisbane for our first Vape experience ever and after some good laughs we became friends. When James sent over some of his deep yet pumping tracks a few years later, we were blown away and when we played them out at our monthly residency at Golden Pudel in Hamburg, we decided to gave them a home on on Fuck Reality – so here we go! Typography and full cover artwork as always by Stefan Marx.
Outrageously percussive granulated energy and mysterious cinematic storytelling. Our third sampler is a hypnotic labyrinth where time is stretched and mind is isolated.
Continuing with the sixth installment of this great reedit series, East Village Edits continues to keep forgotten and not so well remembered disco and dance classics fresh in the New York state of mind that clubs like the legendary Paradise Garage established as that NYC sound.
