Very special and highly limited electro / electronics project (tributed to James Stinson) from the Fundamental Records camp, produced by different artists that will remain anonymous, if they choose to...
Tracks made for the ravers who arrive early and stay late, for those who burn the candle at both ends.
After his contributions to both Knotweed Records 020 and Decision Making Theory 019 under his project 'The Fallen' (together with Plural), FBK now drops an EP of his own on Knotweed Records. 4 slices of minimalist techno, deep on the A side, hard on the B side, always groovy and funky - dive in!
For his return to Make Mistakes, Derek Russo ventures into the Belly of the Whale with three pieces of beautiful, retro future, dance floor chic.
Fierce kick drums, expertly cut up breakbeats and brain dance influenced melodies. 6 tracks of proper intelligent rave fuel by Ryan James Ford on this leftfield techno mini album for the Clone Dub Series.
Alicia Keys’ original is a much loved beauty, and this remix by Jan Kincl, a Zagreb-based producer known for his jazz-informed house project with Regis Kattie, was made just hours before a Berlin DJ gig. Two months later, Jan and Delfonic, a Berlin staple coming from a more organic and soulful side of the city, were in Montenegro on a shuttle from the airport to Southern Soul festival. Eddy Ramich, mutual friend who’s been playing Jan’s demo was on the same bus and played it to Delfonic. Before making it through one full listen, Delfonic said this should be released and suggested to make his own remix. What they ended up with is a 12″ with three versions, three attempts to flip the original’s beatless soul and bend it into shapes of deep house and Miami bass.
